Finnian O'Malia converted a penalty kick late in the second overtime to edge Vinalhaven 3-2 on Thursday.  O'Malia put the Eagles up early in the first half but the Vikings battled back to make it 2-1 halfway through the second half. Finn Gibson notched a fearless equalizer with thirteen minutes left to force overtime.  The Eagles were anchored by an outstanding, complete game, defensive performance from Mark Danks, Avery Grindle, and Hayden Wick. Kashmir Owen also contributed to a solid midfield performance to help Islesboro secure the first victory of the Battle of the Bay series.
